President Al-Alimi Discusses with Dutch PM Bilateral Cooperation in Service Sectors
Munich
Today, Saturday, His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, met with His Excellency Dick Schoof, Prime Minister of the friendly Kingdom of the Netherlands, on the sidelines of the International Security Conference hosted by the German city of Munich.
The meeting focused on the distinguished bilateral relations between the two friendly nations and the promising prospects for enhancing cooperation across various sectors.
In the meeting, the President of the Presidential Leadership Council expressed his profound appreciation for the support provided by the Dutch government and its unwavering stance alongside the legitimate government and the Yemeni people, particularly in mobilizing the necessary funding for the humanitarian response plan and its notable interventions in the development and service sectors.
His Excellency the President briefed the Dutch Prime Minister on the latest developments in the local situation and the devastating impacts of the war instigated by the Houthi terrorist militias, as well as their coup against national consensus, supported by the Iranian regime.
President Al-Alimi touched upon the serious threats posed by the Houthi militias to maritime navigation and international peace and security, as well as their grave human rights violations. He highlighted the ongoing detention and enforced disappearance of dozens of employees from UN agencies, international organizations, and missions, including the humanitarian programs officer at the Dutch embassy.
The President underscored the importance of the Netherlands' active role in promoting unity within the international community and the necessity for joining punitive measures against the Houthi terrorist militias. He asserted that such actions represent the best peaceful option to deter these militias and compel them to cease their grave violations both nationally and regionally.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Yahya Al-Shuaibi, Director of the Office of the Presidency of the Republic, Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Mekhlafi, Economic Advisor to the President of the Presidential Leadership Council, and Mr. Loai Al-Eryani, Yemen's Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany.
