PLC President Affirms Yemen’s Full Solidarity with Saudi Arabia, Vows to End Houthi Terrorism

President Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), affirmed Yemen’s full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, its leadership, government, and people. He strongly condemned the cowardly Houthi terrorist attack on King Khalid International Airport, which left several people dead and hundreds of others injured, including nationals of various countries.

On his behalf, his fellow PLC members, the government, and the Yemeni people, President Al-Alimi extended his heartfelt condolences to the Saudi leadership, people, and the families of the victims. He also wished the injured a speedy recovery.

In a post on the social media platform X, the PLC President said the attack reflected the terrorist nature of the Houthi militias and their disregard for civilian lives, regional security, and the interests of the Yemeni people.

“The security of Saudi Arabia and Yemen, and the interests of their peoples, are intertwined,” President Al-Alimi said. He stressed that any attack on Saudi Arabia was also an attack on Yemen’s security, interests, and the future of its generations.

“On this basis, we reaffirm our shared resolve to press ahead with “Dawn of Yemen” Operation to end the terrorist threat and restore state institutions, whatever the sacrifices,” he added.

President Al-Alimi also praised Saudi Arabia’s noble fraternal support for Yemen, including its continued efforts to support the Yemeni economy and alleviate humanitarian suffering. These efforts include recent support for the state’s general budget and announced measures to regularize the status of Yemeni residents in the Kingdom.
