PLC President: “Dawn of Yemen” Operation to Continue Until All Its Objectives Are Achieved
Aden
President Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), met today, Wednesday, with the leadership of the National Coalition of Political Parties and Components, headed by Dr. Ahmed Obeid bin Daghr. During the meeting, they discussed the latest national developments and ways to strengthen the political forces’ response to the requirements of the current phase. They also discussed expanding their role in supporting state institutions and mobilizing the political and societal front in parallel with the launch of the “Dawn of Yemen” operation.
The meeting discussed mechanisms for turning political support for the state into an organized and effective program of action. The program aims to strengthen the presence of political parties and components in the governorates and unify national efforts in confronting the terrorist Houthi militias. It also aims to boost the morale of citizens and fighters, strengthen confidence in state institutions, and preserve national cohesion during this critical phase.
President Al-Alimi welcomed the coalition’s leadership and members, praising its strategic political plan and its vision for moving from general political support to organized political and societal support for state institutions.
President Al-Alimi briefed the coalition leaders on the latest field and political developments. He stressed that the launch of the “Dawn of Yemen” operation marks a new phase in the process of restoring state institutions and completing the liberation of the remaining Yemeni territory, leading to the capital, Sana’a.
His Excellency praised the heroes of the armed forces and security forces, as well as all military formations and popular resistance forces on various fronts. He paid tribute to the heavy sacrifices made by the martyrs, the wounded, and their families. He affirmed that these sacrifices will remain the foundation for Yemen’s victory and the restoration of its state and institutions.
President Al-Alimi stressed that the armed forces’ battle requires a cohesive political, popular, and media front. Such a front must use legitimate means to boost citizens’ morale, strengthen confidence in the state and counter misinformation. It must also prevent the militias from turning temporary field developments into political or psychological gains.
He called on political parties and components to strengthen their presence and branches in the governorates, enhance their ties with local communities, contribute to addressing citizens’ concerns. He called on them to maintain communication channels with their cadres and supporters in areas forcibly controlled by the militias.
President Al-Alimi reaffirmed that the safe-return and amnesty initiative forms an integral part of the process of restoring the state and reducing the cost of the war on Yemenis. It also opens the door for anyone who abandons the militias and returns to the ranks of the state, provided they have not been involved in the excluded crimes. It also helps isolate militia leaders from the communities whose sons they send to the battlefronts.
The President expressed his deep appreciation and gratitude to the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of his brother, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and his brother, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He commended the Kingdom’s steadfast position and full support for the PLC, the government, and the Yemeni people, as well as its support for the armed forces in the battle to restore state institutions, security, and stability.
In this regard, he noted the Saudi Cabinet’s ’ reaffirmation, chaired by the Crown Prince, of its full support for the PLC, the government, and the Yemeni people to end the coup and restore state institutions. He also noted the Cabinet’s confirmation that the Houthi militias had chosen military escalation over peace and continued to threaten the region and maritime navigation in the southern Red Sea and the Bab al-Mandab Strait.
President Al-Alimi also commended the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to address the status of Yemenis residing in the Kingdom through irregular means and provide them with the necessary facilities. He described this as an extension of Saudi Arabia’s comprehensive support for Yemen, its people, and its institutions.
President Al-Alimi stressed that military operations may naturally see advances on one front and temporary complications on another. However, the state’s direction and objectives will not change: restoring Sana’a and extending state control over the entire national territory.
President Al-Alimi said the “Dawn of Yemen” operation is moving toward its objectives and that the armed forces, security forces, and popular resistance will continue to fulfill their duty until state institutions are restored and the liberation of the country is completed. He stressed that political parties and components are key partners in the political, popular, and media front. He confirmed that restoring the state is a shared national responsibility, not the sole task of the armed forces.
“We may face difficulties, but we will not retreat from our goal of restoring the state and its institutions, completing the liberation of our country, and paving the way for a just and lasting peace,” he added. “Dawn of Yemen” is not merely the name of a military operation, but a promise that this war will end with a state, and that Yemenis will reclaim their republic and their desired future.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Yahya Al-Shuaibi, Director of the Office of the Presidency of the Republic, and Abdullah Abu Huraira, Minister of State for the Affairs of the House of Representatives and Shura Council, and Chairman of the Political Parties Committee.
