President Al-Alimi Meets with Prime Minister of Iraq

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, met today, Friday, with Mr. Mohammed Shia' al-Sudani, the Prime Minister of the brotherly Republic of Iraq, on the sidelines of his participation in the 61st Munich Security Conference.

The meeting addressed the latest developments in both brotherly countries, their longstanding bilateral relations, and ways to advance these ties toward broader horizons, particularly in the fields of education and justice.

Additionally, the discussion included regional developments of mutual interest, particularly the necessary efforts to support the Palestinian people and uphold their right to establish their own independent, fully sovereign state in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Yahya Al-Shuaibi, Director of the Office of the Presidency of the Republic, Dr. Shai’a Al-Zindani, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Mekhlafi, Advisor to the President of the Presidential Leadership Council and Mr. Loai Al-Eryani, Yemen's Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany.

On the Iraqi side,  the meeting was attended by Dr. Fuad Hussein, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Khalid Al-Yaqoubi, Advisor to the Prime Minister, and His Highness Luqman Al-Faili, Iraq's Ambassador to Germany.
