President al-Alimi discusses with UAE President ‏bilateral relations and latest developments in Yemen

  ABU DHABI:

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council discussed today ,Tuesday with President of the United Arab Emirates Mohammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan ‏bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, latest developments in Yemen and a number of issues of common concern.

The UAE President welcomed President Al-Alimi and congratulated him on the National Day of the Republic of Yemen marking the 22nd of May, hoping progress and development to Yemeni people.

President al-Alimi expressed on his own behalf and on behalf of Council members gratitude to the UAE under the leadership of Mohammad bin Zayed for its courageous positions towards Yemeni people and their political leadership within the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen , in addition to the UAE economic, humanitarian and developmental interventions in all walks of life.

For his part, President Mohammad bin Zayed confirmed support of the UAE to the Yemeni people in their efforts for realizing peace, stability and development. 

The meeting was attended by Director of the Office of the Presidency of the Republic, Dr. Yahya Al-Shuaibi, and Yemen's ambassador to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Fahd Sa'eed Al-Menhali from the Yemeni side. On the other hand, from the Emirati side, the meeting was attended by , His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, His Highness Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Zayed Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation (Zayed CHF, His Highness Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, and His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan , Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Later, the President of the Presidential Council, left the UAE capital Abu Dhabi, where he was seen off by the Emirati Minister of Justice Abdullah Ana'aimi and Ambassador of the UAE to the Republic of Yemen Mohammed Azua'abi, Fahad Saeed Al Menhali, Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen to the UAE and embassy members.
