President Al-Alimi Meets with Prime Minister and Chief Justice of the Supreme Judiciary Council

Today, Thursday, His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, held a meeting with Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, the Prime Minister, and Judge Mohsen Taleb Abubakr, Chief of the Supreme Judicial Council. The meeting was attended by Mr.Ahmed Ghaleb Al-Maabqi, Governor of the Central Bank of Yemen, as well as Mr.Salem bin Breik, Minister of Finance, and Judge Badr Al-Aradah, Minister of Justice.

The meeting focused on discussing the role of the judiciary in enhancing the prestige of the state, enforcing the rule of law, and the support required for justice officials to fulfill their noble mission of bringing justice to the oppressed and protecting public funds.

The President briefed the attendees on the latest political, economic, and field developments. Additionally, he explained the Council's strategy for the upcoming phase, in which the judiciary is seen as a central pillar for achieving the desired change across various fronts.

His Excellency the President emphasized the principle of collective responsibility and the collaborative relationship among all state authorities and institutions in executing the tasks and responsibilities assigned to them in accordance with the Constitution and the law, as well as the nationally, regionally, and internationally agreed-upon references for the transitional phase.

He highlighted the achievements of the judiciary over the past period and its upcoming plans to enhance the performance of its institutions as one of the key pillars of the legitimate state in protecting national gains, maintaining social harmony, and countering the destructive Houthi practices against the national economy and livelihood opportunities.

The President directed efforts to improve the conditions of the judiciary, including granting annual bonuses to all its members starting next year, in accordance with the law and in alignment with other state institutions.

The meeting included updates from the Prime Minister, the Chief Justice, the Governor of the Central Bank of Yemen, and the Ministers of Finance and Justice on the economic and financial situation, the performance of the judiciary, and the available support to enhance its role and independence as a crucial component of comprehensive reforms. They also discussed the primary mechanisms for promoting principles of integrity, governance, and combating corruption.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Yahya Al-Shuaibi, Director of the Office of the Presidency of the Republic.
