Today, Thursday, His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, made a phone call to Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, the Prime Minister, to discuss the latest developments in the economic and service related matters. The call particularly focused on changes related to fluctuations in exchange rates, essential commodities, as well as the government's efforts to accelerate the implementation of the economic rescue plan.

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council was briefed by the Prime Minister on the measures taken to strengthen the status of the national currency, deter currency speculators, monitor prices for services and essential commodities, and implement protective measures for local products and industries.

His Excellency also received a briefing on measures aimed at improving the efficiency of power generation stations, reducing recurring power outages, and ensuring a continuous supply of fuel from the governorates of Hadhramout and Marib to operate the government power stations.

His Excellency praised the approved policies aimed at alleviating the humanitarian suffering exacerbated by the attacks of the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militias on oil facilities and international shipping lanes. In this context, he stressed the importance of redoubling efforts to implement the decisions and recommendations of the Presidential Leadership Council, particularly those related to improving the state's access to its resources across all governorates.

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council expressed his profound gratitude and appreciation to the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for their generous response to the needs of the Yemeni people, including their continued support for the state’s general budget to meet essential obligations. This support primarily enables the payment of employees’ salaries and ensures the provision of essential goods and services for millions of Yemenis across the country.
