President Al-Alimi Concludes High-Level Presidential Participation in UN General Assembly Sessions

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, along with Sheikh Othman Mujali, the Council member, have left New York at the conclusion of  a presidential participation in the discussions of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly.

During the high-level UN discussions, His Excellency the President briefed world leaders on the latest developments in the Yemeni situation. Additionally, His Excellency shared the vision of the Presidential Leadership Council and the government for restoring the path to peace and ending the humanitarian suffering caused by the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militias.

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council, along with Major General Aidarus Al-Zubaidi and Sheikh Othman Mujali, Council members, held bilateral meetings and extensive discussions on ways to de-escalate and deter the threats posed by the militias and terrorist organizations to Yemen's stability and international peace and security.

President Al-Alimi and the Council member were seen off by Ambassador Abdullah Al-Sa’adi, Yemen's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, and Mr. Mohammed Al-Hadrami, Yemen's Ambassador to Washington, along with a number of the diplomatic mission and embassy members.
