President Al-Alimi Meets with Iraqi Prime Minister

His Excellency Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, met today, Sunday, with Mr. Mohammed Shia' Al-Sudani, Prime Minister of the Republic of Iraq, on the sidelines of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly.
The meeting touched upon bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and the prospects for strengthening them in various fields.
The two parties exchanged views on a number of issues in addition to regional developments of mutual interest.
The meeting was attended by by Dr. Shaya'e bin Mohsen Al-Zindani, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, and Ambassador Abdullah Al-Sa’adi, Yemen's Permanent Representative to the United Nations. From the Iraqi side, attendees included Dr. Fuad Hussein, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Ali Tamim, Minister of Planning and Dr. Abbas Al-Fatlawi, Iraq's Permanent Representative to the United Nations.
