President Al-Alimi Along With Abdullah AL-Alimi And Othman Majili, Members Of The PLC lay foundation stone for number of Saudi projects in Taiz

His Excellency President Dr. Rashd Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) along with Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi and Sheikh Othman Mujalli, the Members of the PLC, laid foundation stones today, Tuesday, for  a number of development and service projects funded by the brothers in kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY).

The President and the two PLC's members were received by Mr.Ahmed Madkhali, the Director of the SPDRY’s Office and a number of the program officials who provided a detailed explanation of the new service projects.

These projects included a specialized oncology center, establishing Ausaifira power plant with 30MGW, the Rural Hospital in al-Mawasit District and the project for rehabilitating and equipping the Technological Industrial Institute in Taiz.

His Excellency and the two Council members inaugurated Al-Wahda Model School in the District of Jabal Habashi. Moreover, they were briefed on the work progress at the Medical City in Taiz University, which includes the faculties of Medicine, Nursing, and Pharmacy, in addition to the University Hospital and the administrative buildings. The Medical City is set to benefit over 280,000 students upon opening, and to be the largest medical facility in the country.

The president of the Presidential Leadership Council expressed, on his own behalf, the Council members, and the government, great thanks and appreciation to the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. The president also thanked the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY), which has been working to complete such vital projects under the constant supervision of His Excellency Ambassador Mohammed Al Jaber.

The president of the Presidential Leadership Council stressed the importance of the development and humanitarian interventions undertaken by the Saudi brothers, including medical and educational cities across various governorates, in addition to the promising projects in ‏fields of power and water desalination. Prior to this, He noted the financial and oil grants that have become key resources for saving the lives of millions of Yemenis.

The groundbreaking ceremony was  attended by Mr.Nabil Shamsan, Governor of Taiz.
