President Al-Alimi arrives in Al Mukalla with Abdullah Al-Alimi and Othman Mujali, Members of the Council

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, arrived today, Saturday, along with members of the Council Dr. Abdullah Al-Alimi and Sheikh Othman Mujali, in Mukalla, the capital of Hadhramaut, on the second presidential visit to the governorate. This governorate has been facing intertwined financing and development challenges since the terrorist attacks by the Houthi militias supported by the Iranian regime on oil facilities, export ports, shipping vessels, and international shipping lines.
During the visit, His Excellency the President and members of the Council will hold meetings with the leadership of the local authority, the executive office, military and security leaders, political and social figures, media professionals, and representatives of civil society organizations, to brief them on developments on the national scene, and efforts to enhance the role of government institutions in improving the service and living conditions of the people of the governorate, and encouraging national investments.
In a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) and the media, His Excellency the President expressed his happiness and that of his fellow members of the Council to visit Hadhramout Governorate, meet with its local and community leaders, and discuss ways to support the efforts of the local authority to fulfill its inevitable obligations towards citizens in various fields.
The President of the Leadership Council stressed the Council and the government's awareness of the financial conditions in the governorate, and the appreciated role of the local authority in alleviating the governorate’s living, humanitarian and service burden, and sharing its successes and failures, not escaping from them.
In this context, the President of the Presidential Leadership Council praised the humanitarian and development interventions of the countries of the Coalition to Support Legitimacy led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates in Hadhramout Governorate and their tangible impact at all levels.
He also renewed the Council and the government's commitment to strengthening the role of local authorities in Hadhramout Governorate and all liberated governorates, and supporting their efforts to achieve security, stability, and improving services, in a manner befitting the role and status of Hadhramout Governorate and its symbolism as a model for a state of institutions and the rule of law.
The President and members of the Presidential Leadership Council were received at Al Rayyan Airport by Eng. Badr Basalma, the President's Advisor for Local Authority Affairs, Mabkhout bin Madi, the Governor of Hadhramaut Governorate, members of the House of Representatives and the Shura Council, Saleh Al-Omqi, the Secretary-General of the Local Council in Hadhramaut Governorate, the governorate's undersecretaries, military and security leaders, directors of executive offices, scholars, social figures, representatives of political parties and civil organizations, and crowds of citizens who welcomed His Excellency the President and his accompanying delegation.
