President Al-Alimi returns to interim capital, Aden

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, returned today, Monday, to the interim capital, Aden. After a foreign visit, during which he held consultations with brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and regional and international actors regarding the latest developments in the Yemeni situation, developments in the region, and opportunities to revive the peace process. In addition to alleviating the burden of living conditions exacerbated by the terrorist attacks by the Houthi militias on oil installations and international shipping lines with the support of the Iranian regime.

His Excellency the President, on his own behalf, the members of the Council and the government, expressed in a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) his great appreciation to the brothers in the Coalition to Support Legitimacy led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. He expressed his appreciation for their strong and sincere commitment alongside the Yemeni people, alleviating their suffering, and achieving their aspirations to restore State’s institutions, security, stability, and peace.

In this context, the President praised the results of the recent consultations with the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and other Gulf Cooperation Council countries, which will soon yield, with God’s help, more support and joint coordination at various levels.

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council stressed the Council’s keenness to make all efforts to fulfill the state’s imperative obligations, first and foremost the payment of employee salaries and the improvement of basic services provided to citizens in all governorates.
