President Al-Alimi Receives Saudi Minister of Defense

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, received today, Wednesday, His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Salman, Minister of Defense of the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
During the meeting, His Royal Highness Prince Khaled bin Salman conveyed to the President of the Presidential Leadership Council the greetings of his brother, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and their wishes for Yemen and its people for security, stability and peace.
For his part, the President of the Presidential Leadership Council, asked His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Salman, to convey his greetings and members of the Council to the Saudi leadership and their wishes of abundant health and wellness, and to the government and people of the Kingdom all progress and prosperity.
During the meeting, they discussed the latest developments in the national scene, joint efforts to alleviate the human suffering of the Yemeni people. They also discussed developments in regional and international mediation to launch a comprehensive political process under the auspices of the United Nations, in accordance with terms of reference, agreed-upon locally, regionally, and internationally.
The President of the Presidential Leadership Council, briefed the Saudi Minister of Defense, on the latest developments in the Yemeni situation, the path of reforms led by the Council and the government, and the support required to strengthen them at all levels.
The President of the Presidential Leadership Council affirmed the support of the Council and the government for the sincere endeavors on the part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in order to improve the living conditions of the Yemeni people, achieve just and comprehensive peace, and restore state institutions, security, stability, and development.
His Excellency the President praised the Kingdom's steadfast position alongside the Yemeni people, its political leadership at various stages and circumstances. He praised the Kingdom’s continued keenness to end the human suffering caused by the terrorist Houthi militias supported by the Iranian regime.
For his part, His Royal Highness Prince Khaled bin Salman renewed, during the meeting, the Kingdom’s support for the Presidential Leadership Council and the government, and the encouragement of a comprehensive and sustainable political solution under the auspices of the United Nations. In a way that achieves security, peace, stability and development in Yemen.
His Highness affirmed the Kingdom’s firm and supportive position on everything that guarantees the security and stability of the Republic of Yemen, and achieves the hopes and progress of its people.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Yahya Al-Shuaibi, the Director of the Office of the Presidency of the Republic, and Major General Saleh Al-Maqaleh, the Director of the Office of the President of the Presidential Leadership Council. While for the Saudi part, the meeting was attended by Mr. Mohammed bin Saeed Al Jaber, the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Republic of Yemen, and Mr. Hisham bin Abdulaziz bin Saif, the Director-General of the Office of the Minister of Defense.
