The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council meets with the Arab ambassadors accredited to Belgium and the European Union

Today, Wednesday, His Excellency ,President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, and the Council member Faraj Al-Bahsani met with the Arab ambassadors, the Arab League, and the Gulf Cooperation Council delegations , accredited to the Kingdom of Belgium and the European Union.

 

During the meeting, His Excellency the President welcomed the Arab diplomats, and briefed them on the nature and results of his current visit to Brussels. He also praised their role in defending the Yemeni cause, serving the interests of the nation, and facing its common challenges.

 

The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council briefed the Arab ambassadors on the developments of the Yemeni situation, the chances of reviving the political process in light of the coordinated efforts between brothers, friends, and the United Nations Special Envoy, and in light of the continued intransigence of the Houthi terrorist militia supported by the Iranian regime and its subversive project in the region.

 

His Excellency the President referred to the economic and humanitarian challenges facing the Yemeni State, and the role of the brothers in the Coalition to Support Legitimacy led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates in continuing basic services and limiting the repercussions of the Houthi terrorist attacks on oil facilities, infrastructure, and international shipping lines.

 

The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council exchanged discussions with the Arab ambassadors on issues of common concern, and ways to coordinate positions in various regional and international forums.

 

The meeting was attended by Director of the Office of the Presidency of the Republic, Dr. Yahya Al-Shuaibi, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Ahmed bin Mubarak, and the Ambassador of Yemen to the Kingdom of Belgium and the European Union, Mohammed Taha Mustafa.
