President Al-Alimi arrives in Bahrain at the head of a high-level delegation to participate in Arab Summit

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, along with Council members Abdul Rahman Al-Mahrami and Othman Majali, arrived in the Bahraini capital, Manama, to participate in the 33rd Ordinary Arab League Summit, which to kick off tomorrow, Thursday.

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council, the two members of the Council and the accompanying delegation were received by Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the representative of the King of Bahrain for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, the National Security Advisor and the Secretary-General of the Supreme Defense Council, Salman Al Mannai, the Governor of Muharraq Governorate, and Sheikh Abdullah bin Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, the Undersecretary of the Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, Ahmed Rashid Khattabi, the Assistant Secretary-General and Head of the Media and Communication Sector of the League of Arab States and Dr. Ali Al-Ahmadi, the Ambassador of Yemen to the Kingdom of Bahrain.

In a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the President of the Presidential Leadership Council, on his own behalf and the members of the Council, expressed his great appreciation to the brothers in the Kingdom of Bahrain, led by his brother, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, for the good reception and good preparation for the work of the Arab League Summit. Which is to be held in extremely complex political and security circumstances, foremost of which is the continuation of the brutal Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people, and the escalation of the threat of terrorist militias and their threats to regional and international security and peace.

His Excellency the President also expressed his confidence that this summit will lead to important decisions for the benefit of the Arab peoples and countries, cohesiveness and enhancing solidarity in facing common challenges.

The agenda of the Arab League Summit, which was approved by the Arab foreign ministers yesterday, Tuesday, includes a number of items, the most prominent of which is the Palestinian issue, strengthening joint Arab action, and developments in the situation in Yemen, Syria, Sudan, and Libya.
