Dr. Shaya'e bin Mohsen Al-Zindani was sworn in, today, Wednesday, before His Excellency, President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council( PLC), at Al-Ma’ashiq Presidential Palace in the interim capital of Aden, on the occasion of his appointment as  Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates. 

After taking the constitutional oath, before the President, His Excellency the President congratulated the newly appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, on the occasion of gaining the PLC’s confidence. The president also wished Dr. Shaya'e success in his new duties.

The newly appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates was briefed by President of the Presidential Leadership Council on the urgent priorities that the ministry should undertake during the upcoming phase regionally and internationally.

His Excellency the President stressed the need to prioritize the battle to restore state institutions. In addition, President Al-Alimi stressed the need to continue efforts to mobilize regional and international support for Yemeni people, correct misleading narratives about their just cause and expose the approaches and practices of the Iran- backed Houthi terrorist militias.

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council expressed his own, the Council members’ and the government’s confidence in Minister Al-Zindani’s experience to push ahead with administrative and structural reforms, and continuously train Foreign Ministry personnel, and diplomatic missions. His Excellency also expressed confidence in ‏ ‏harnessing all available resources to serve Yemeni people’s  interests and defend their republican system.

His Excellency reiterated the PLC’s commitment to support the government, all its institutions and to facilitate the performance of their authorities with full powers in the interim capital Aden and liberated governorates. In order to alleviate the human suffering caused by the terrorist Houthi militias, and to achieve Yemeni people’s  aspirations for security, stability, peace and development.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Yahya Al-Shuaibi, Director of the Office of the Presidency of the Republic.
