President Al- Alimi praises Yemeni-Turkish relationships

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) met today, Monday, with Mr. Mostaf Polat, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to the Republic of Yemen.

The Turkish ambassador conveyed to President Al- Alimi the greetings and congratulations of  president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, on the advent of Holy Month of Ramadan, wishing His Excellency abundant  health and happiness, and the Yemeni government and people, security, stability, and peace.

For his part, the President of the Presidential Leadership Council, asked Ambassador Polat, to convey his own greetings and the council members’ to President Erdoğan, wishing him good  health and the Turkish people further development and prosperity. 

Mr. Polat briefed President Al-Alimi on   his impressions about his recent tour in several Yemeni governorates. The ambassador also briefed His Excellency on the ongoing and future Turkish humanitarian and service interventions, especially in the fields of higher education, culture, health, agriculture, rehabilitation, and training.

During the meeting, the President of the Presidential Leadership Council praised the distinguished historical relations between Yemen and the Republic of Turkey. His Excellency also expressed his aspirations for further wider cooperation between the two brotherly countries.

His Excellency the President also praised the firm Turkish position in support of constitutional legitimacy and efforts to restore the state's institutions and end Iran-backed terrorist Houthi militias' coup.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Yahya Al-Shuaibi, Director of the Office of the Presidency of the Republic.
