Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council: The home front and the international community are united around the Yemeni issue more than ever
Aden:
His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, praised the cohesion of the home front and the unity of the international community more than ever on the Yemeni issue, the people’s aspirations to restore state institutions, and to end the coup of the Houthi terrorist militia backed by the Iranian regime. In address to the nation on the advent of the Holy Month of Ramadan he said " It is the Grace of the Almighty Allah that the Holy Month of Ramadan comes this year while we're stronger, our national alignment more coherent and determined to defend our republican system and national identity His Excellency the President renewed his welcome to all efforts aimed at continuing the humanitarian truce and establishing a comprehensive ceasefire, starting with the blessed month of Ramadan. The President called on Houthi militias to invoke the spiritual values of the Holy Month of Ramadan and stop profiting from the warfare economy, disparity of currency exchange rates at the expense of the Yemeni peoples' sustenance and livelihoods. In the speech delivered on his behalf by Minister of Endowments and Guidance Mohammed Shabibah, His Excellency congratulated the detainees who are set to be released from the Houthi militias' jails under the recent prisoner-exchange deal, affirming that the Presidential Leadership Council and government will save no efforts to get the remaining detainees released including Mohammed Qahtan and Maj. General Faisal Rajab who are covered by the International Security Council resolution in relevance. On the religious occasion, the President of the Presidential Leadership Council announced his directives to the authorities concerned with the release of convicted prisoners who have served three-quarters of their term, as well as the release of those who have served their sentences and are still imprisoned for private rights, by the commercial guarantees. His Excellency ordered for the formation of committees in the governorates from the prosecution offices, local authorities and chambers of commerce to assist insolvents. President al-Alimi recalled the anniversary of the "Decisiveness Storm" the intervention of the Saudi-led Arab Coalition in support of legality in Yemen which its anniversary corresponding with the advent of Holy Ramadan saying it is a day will do deeply down in Yemen's and Arab nation history, as the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia responded to the duty call in line with the instructions of the Prophet of the Muslim Nation and based on article 51 of the UN's Chatter which authorize the free world countries to self-defense, offer a hand of help to deter any armed aggression, take every necessary measure to preserve the international security and stability. Below is the delivered speech: In the name of God, the most gracious, the most merciful Praise be to God alone, and prayers and peace be upon the one after whom there is neither a prophet nor an infallible person. Dear fellow citizens male and female, everywhere, I congratulate you all on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan. The month of mercy and benevolence, the month in which good deeds are multiplied, ranks are raised, and sins are forgiven. The month about which the Almighty said: (The month of Ramadan in which the Qur’an was revealed, a guidance for people and clear proofs of the guidance and the Criterion). May God help us and you to fast and pray. Dear sisters, brothers, It is sad and painful that this holy month is back, while our people are still suffering the ravages of war and its devastating effects, but God’s grace is that the holy month is back and we are stronger, aligned, and determined to defend our republican system and our national identity with the help of the Almighty, with the patience of our people, and the valor of our armed forces, security and popular resistance, then thanks to the courageous stances of our brothers in the Coalition to Support Legitimacy led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. Therefore, we have the right to be proud of the indomitable will that God has endowed this good country with in facing challenges and thwarting all plans to hijack our country from its Arab identity. Brothers, sisters, We were full of hope that this holy month would come, and we had enough options to alleviate the suffering of our people across the country, but the Houthi terrorist militia, backed by the Iranian regime, prevented this, by targeting oil installations, fuel ships, restricting the movement of goods, money, activities of the private sector and international organizations, in an attempt to plunge the country into a comprehensive humanitarian crisis. But with God's help, with the cooperation of all components, and with the support of our brothers and friends, we have so far been able to control the repercussions of these terrorist attacks. We continue to pay salaries, meet the inevitable expenses, and basic services, including credits secured by the Central Bank to cover the needs of our people in terms of food and medicine imports throughout the country. Despite the suspension of about 65 percent of public revenues, which do not represent, according to reference reports, only a small percentage of what the terrorist militias reap from the revenues of the port of Hodeidah, and other levies, without making any obligations towards the millions of citizens who are forcibly subject to its oppressive machine. We are pleased to assure you, fellow citizens, that things will move forward, God willing, and we will take more measures to thwart their subversive plans that do not, as they claim, target the Presidential Leadership Council and the legitimate government, but rather harm the interests of our people and their sources of livelihood throughout the country. Dear fellow citizens, Our Islam is a religion of mercy, love, and honesty. A religion that calls for peace, justice, and the rejection of violence, a religion that made preserving the human soul one of its most important purposes, and killing it is one of the greatest of major sins. However, the militias in Sana'a and Saada celebrate false victories over the pain of sad mothers, deprived children, cities devoured by hunger and fear, gravestones, pictures of dead people, arms and drug dealers, schools and universities devoid of knowledge. Throughout the holy month, the leaders of the Houthis will speak about war, expiation, and superstition that does not care about people's pain and suffering, nor about employee salaries, job opportunities, sources of livelihood, safe education and health care, water scarcity, energy crisis, peace, science and knowledge, civil society, the elements of modern life and Digital Transformation that are the secret word today for the prosperity and well-being of any nation, and its reputation among nations. Therefore, the whole world is united today to support our cause and solidarity with our people and their aspirations to restore state institutions, while the militias’ approach to glorifying wars and death is seen as a deviation from religious, moral values, normal human instinct, as a threat to social and international peace, and a gateway to disintegration and fragmentation. sisters and brothers,, The anniversary of Decisive Storm on the twenty-sixth of March, which falls on us with the onset of the holy month, will remain an immortal day in the history of our people and the entire Arab nation, in which the brothers, led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, responded to the call of duty, pursuant to what the Prophet of the nation guided us to, that a Muslim is like a single body to a Muslim, If any part of the body complains, the rest of the body falls asleep and fever. According to Article 51 of the Charter of the United Nations, which authorizes the countries of the free world to defend themselves, extend a helping hand to deter any armed attack against one of the members, and take all measures to maintain international peace and security, and restore the situation .It is the help that kept our struggling people a space for freedom and coexistence, prevented the total collapse of the state and its fall in the grip of the Iranian militias and their subversive project in Yemen. Recalling the militias' coup against the national consensus in September 2014, and its devastating effects, is a collective duty to confront their continuous misinformation, which contradicts the purposes of the great month as an opportunity to be honest with oneself, sincerity of intentions, care for the interests of the nation, and listen to its pain and suffering. There is no truer embodiment of these Ramadan principles and values than for the militias to start abolishing restrictions on the circulation of the new edition of the currency, abandoning the illusion of deceptive stability of exchange rates in the areas under their control, paying the salaries of employees, completing the release of detainees, abductees, and reuniting them with their families. Before that,to stop blowing up homes, confiscating property, and realizing the fact that the sectarian wars waged against our people are not a revolution, but full-fledged terrorism. We have said repeatedly, and very frankly, that the Houthi group could have acted as a political component that respects the law and the constitution, and recognized the right of the state to monopolize power. We also said repeatedly, that the problem is not with the Iranian people, but rather with its regime, its practices, its interference in our internal affairs, and its attempt to impose the beliefs of its extremists militias by force, what brought trouble and ruin to our peoples and countries. Therefore, Iran's interest is represented in partnership with its neighbors and the international community, focusing on the service and well-being of its citizens, and stopping its regime from squandering its resources and capabilities while destabilizing the security, stability, and sovereignty of the peoples and countries of the region. fellow citizens, Over the past years, we and our brothers in the Coalition for Supporting Legitimacy made several concessions, and initiatives in order to restore the path of peace and end the suffering of our people, leading to the announcement of the truce that the militias rejected, and the file of the detainees, which we hoped would expand the joy of the families by releasing them all in this holy month, according to the principle of all for all. As we congratulate our brothers and sons who are scheduled to be released according to the recent agreement, we share the pain and sadness of the mothers and families of the rest of the detainees, reassuring them that we in the Presidential Leadership Council, and the government, will spare no effort to release all of them, including those covered by the UN Security Council resolution Mr. Mohammed Qahtan, and Major General Faisal Rajab. In support of this momentum in the humanitarian file, we welcome all efforts to continue the humanitarian truce and establish a comprehensive ceasefire, starting with the blessed month of Ramadan. I take this opportunity to direct the authorities concerned with the release of convicted prisoners who have served three-quarters of their term, as well as the release of those who have served their sentences and are still imprisoned for private rights, by commercial guarantees. We ordered the formation of committees in the governorates from the prosecution offices, local authorities and chambers of commerce to help the insolvents. Fellow citizens, In conclusion, let me, on your behalf, the members of the Presidential Leadership Council, and the government to pay tribute and gratitude to the heroes of our armed forces, security and popular resistance stationed in various fields. May God accept all of our fasting, our prayers, grant us strength and power. We ask Him, the Almighty, to release our captives, to grant a speedy recovery to our wounded and sick, to protect our country and our people from all harm and misfortune. Happy blessed month Peace, mercy and blessings of God.
