President Al-Alimi praises Kuwait’s honorable positions in support of Yemeni people

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, received today, Saturday, at his residence in Munich, Mr. Abdullah Alyahya, the Kuwaiti Minister of Foreign Affairs. ‏The Minister conveyed the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of the State of Kuwait to President al- Alimi, wishing his Excellency good health and happiness, and for the Yemeni people stability, peace, and development.

For his part, the President of the Presidential Leadership Council, asked the Kuwaiti minister, to convey his own and the Council members’ greetings to the  Kuwaiti leadership, wishing them good health, and for the brotherly Kuwaiti people further progress and prosperity.

During the meeting, His Excellency the President praised the long- standing bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries. In addition he praised Kuwait's honorable positions in support of Yemeni people and their political leadership in various stages and circumstances, along with Kuwait's active role within the Coalition to Support Legitimacy, led by the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

President al- Alimi also praised the efforts of the Kuwaiti financial institutions and charities in rehabilitating services and alleviating the humanitarian suffering caused by the Iran-backed terrorist Houthi militia.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Yahya Al-Shuaibi, Director of the Office of the Presidency of the Republic, Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Mekhlafi, the Economic Advisor to the President of the Presidential Leadership Council, and Mr. Louay Al-Eryani, the Chargé d’Affairs of the Yemeni Embassy to Germany.

On the Kuwaiti side, the meeting was attended by Abdullah Alshatti, the Chargé d’Affairs  of the Kuwaiti Embassy to Germany.
