President Al-Alimi meets with Bahrain’s foreign minister

On the sidelines of the International Security Conference, which has kicked off today, Friday, His Excellency, President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, received Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid AlZayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain, at his residence in the German city of Munich.

In the meeting, the Bahraini Foreign Minister conveyed the greetings of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to President al- Alimi, wishing the president and the members of the Presidential Leadership Council  good health and happiness, and for the Yemeni people security, stability, and peace.

For his part , the President of the Presidential Leadership Council, asked Minister Al-Zayani, to convey his own and the Council members’ greetings to the Bahraini leadership, wishing them good health, and for the brotherly Bahraini people further progress and prosperity.

His Excellency the President expressed again his sincere condolences on the martyrdom of an officer from the Bahrain Defense Forces in a terrorist attack while performing his duties in training and rehabilitating Somali Armed Forces.

During the meeting, the President of the Presidential Leadership Council praised the distinguished bilateral relations with the Kingdom of Bahrain. In addition, His Excellency praised the political support provided by the brotherly Kingdom to the Yemeni people and their legitimate leadership in various regional and international forums.

The meeting touched upon developments in the Yemeni situation and common positions of the two brotherly countries on regional developments.  The meeting also touched on Houthi militias’ terrorist attacks on maritime security and their catastrophic repercussions for living, humanitarian conditions, and international peace and security.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Yahya Al-Shuaibi, Director of the Office of the Presidency of the Republic, Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Mekhlafi, the Economic Advisor to the President of the Presidential Leadership Council, and Mr. Louay Al-Eryani, the Chargé d’Affairs of the Yemeni Embassy to Germany
