President Al-Alimi arrives in Munich to participate in the International Security Conference

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, arrived today, Thursday, in the German city of Munich, to participate in the International Security Conference, which will kick off tomorrow, Friday.

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council and his accompanying delegation were received at Munich International Airport by Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Mekhlafi, the Economic Advisor to the President of the Presidential Leadership Council, the Secretary-General of the Arab-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry,  Mr. Louay Al-Eryani, the Chargé d’Affairs of the Yemeni Embassy to Germany, and members of the embassy.

His Excellency, the President is scheduled to be a keynote speaker at the global conference in a discussion event on Yemen, the situation in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden, and the required role from the international community to support the Yemeni government and strengthen its sovereignty over its coasts and territorial waters.

His Excellency, the President is also to review the latest developments in the Yemeni situation, including international efforts to revive the peace process and end the human suffering caused by the terrorist Houthi militias supported by the Iranian regime, based on the commendable efforts of the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

On the sidelines of the conference, the President of the Presidential Leadership Council will meet with a number of international leaders and figures participating in the prestigious global gathering to share views on common challenges and ways to coordinate positions and visions at various levels.

The Munich Conference is the largest security policy event in the world, which focuses its deliberations on current security crises and future challenges to international peace and security.
