President Al- Alimi receives UAE Ambassador to Yemen

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, received today, Sunday, Mr. Mohammed Hamad Al-Zaabi, the ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Yemen.

In the meeting, the Emirati Ambassador conveyed to President Al-Alimi the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, wishing him and the Council members good health, and for the Yemeni people, security, stability, and peace.

For his part , the president of the Presidential Leadership Council asked Ambassador Al Zaabi to convey his greetings and those of the presidential Council members to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, wishing him and  the ruling sheikhs, good health and happiness,  and for the brotherly Emirati people all progress and prosperity under his wise leadership. 

The meeting touched upon bilateral relations between the two countries and the two brotherly peoples, and the promising prospects for strengthening them in various fields.

The meeting also discussed Yemeni developments, and the latest developments in UN efforts to launch a comprehensive political process based on the laudable efforts led by the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in a way that ensures restoring State institutions, security, stability and peace in Yemen.

The president of the Presidential Leadership Council reiterated the Council's and the government's support for all regional and international efforts aimed at alleviating the suffering of the Yemeni people, ending the Houthi militias' coup, and achieving comprehensive peace and ‏a state of equal citizenship that all Yemenis deserve.

The meeting also addressed the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories and its dangerous repercussions on international peace and security. 

The meeting was attended by Major General Saleh Al-Muqalih, the Director of the Office of the President of the Presidential Council.
