President Al-Alimi receives French Ambassador

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, received today, Wednesday, the French Ambassador to Yemen, Katherine Corm Kammoun.

The meeting touched upon bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, and local developments, including international efforts to launch a comprehensive political process based on the efforts of the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Sultanate of Oman.

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council praised the distinguished bilateral relations between the two countries, and the advanced position of the French Republic in understanding and approaching the Yemeni issue, looking forward to an active European role in this regard, especially during the current French presidency of the UN Security Council.

His Excellency the President renewed the commitment of the Council and the government to a comprehensive and just peace approach, and supporting the efforts of the United Nations Special Envoy to end the human suffering caused by the terrorist Houthi militias backed by the Iranian regime.

The meeting reviewed the path of economic and financial reforms supported by brothers and friends, the international support required to strengthen the path of these reforms, and government measures to control the catastrophic humanitarian repercussions of the Houthi terrorist attacks on oil installations and international shipping lines.

The meeting was attended by Major General Saleh Al-Maqaleh, the Director of the Office of the President of the Presidential Leadership Council.
