President Al- Alimi receives UN’s Special Envoy

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council along with Council Member Othman Mujalli, received, today, Sunday , the United Nations Special Envoy, Hans Grundberg.

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council and the Council’s Member were briefed by the UN envoy on his  recent coordinated contacts with the brothers and friends to resume a comprehensive Yemeni political process under the auspices of the United Nations.

The meeting touched upon developments in the local situation, and the international pressures required to push the Houthi militias to deal seriously with peace efforts, end the suffering of the Yemeni people, and restore their legitimate institutions.

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council reiterated the Council's and the government's support for the UN’s efforts, and providing all facilities to its Special Envoy to fulfil his duties and responsibilities covered by the international legitimacy resolutions, especially Resolution 2216.

The meeting was attended by Major General Saleh Al-Maqaleh, the Director of the Office of the President of the Presidential Leadership Council.
