PLC continues its discussions on developments in the local situation

Today, Sunday, the Presidential Leadership Council, headed by His Excellency Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Council, continued its extensive discussions on the latest developments in the political, economic, administrative, security and military situations, in the presence of all its members, Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi, Sultan Al-Arada, Tariq Saleh, Abdul Rahman Al-Maharami, Dr. Abdullah Al-Alimi, Othman Mujali, and Faraj Al-Bahsoni.

The Council reviewed the path of sectoral reforms, and the measures required to improve the level of performance of central and local agencies, and accelerate the pace of completion of vital projects that would alleviate the suffering of citizens, especially the electricity and energy sector.

In this context, the meeting listened to an additional assessment of the performance of the government and local authorities during the past year. They discussed the ways to enhance the relative gains achieved and the ways to address imbalances in light of current and expected developments, in particular the economic, financial, and service situation in the interim capital of Aden, and the liberated governorates.

The Council reviewed an evaluation of the performance of some of the teams supporting the Council under the announcement of the transfer of power, the proposed measures to enhance their role in supporting decision-making, and methodological approaches in various fields.

The Council will continue its discussions on the issues on its agenda, and will take the necessary decisions and actions regarding them.
