President Al-Alimi receives UAE Ambassador

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, received today, Monday his excellency Mohammed Hamad Al-Zaabi, the ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Yemen.

In the meeting, the Emirati Ambassador conveyed to His Excellency the President the greetings of his brother, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, and his wishes of good health for him, and for the Yemeni people, security, stability, and peace.

For his part, the President of the Presidential Leadership Council, asked the Ambassador to convey his greetings and members’ of the Council to his brother, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, and his congratulations to him and the ruling sheikhs on the occasion of the New Year. His Excellency conveyed his wishes for them abundant health and happiness, and for the brotherly Emirati people all steady progress and prosperity under his wise leadership.

The meeting touched on bilateral relations between the two countries and the two brotherly peoples, and the promising prospects for strengthening them in various fields.

The meeting also touched on national and regional developments, including developments in UN efforts to bring peace to Yemen based on the efforts of the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Sultanate of Oman to ceasefire and improve the living conditions of the Yemeni people, launching a comprehensive political process in accordance with local, regional and international references, in particular the resolution. 2216.

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council praised the strong bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, the pioneering role of the United Arab Emirates within the coalition to support legitimacy, and its developmental and humanitarian interventions to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people and achieve their aspirations to restore state institutions, stability, development and peace.

The meeting was attended by Major General Saleh Al-Maqaleh, the Director of the Office of the President of the Presidential Leadership Council.
