President makes phone call with the National Football Junior Team Mission, the winner of the West Asia Cup

Today, Wednesday, His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, made a phone call with the mission of the National Football Junior Team, the winner of the West Asian Championship, which was hosted by the Sultanate of Oman starting on December 12.

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council, on his own behalf, the members of the Council, and the government, congratulated the Junior Team on their precious victory in the Asian Championship as a new football achievement for the national teams, despite all the compelling circumstances of war.

His Excellency the President told the junior champions that their great victory created great popular joy and united Yemenis around the importance of creativity and unleashing freedom for youth energies in various competitions as an ideal way to enhance Yemen’s creative presence in its regional and international environment.

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council praised the honorable performance shown by the national team, and also praised the high competitive spirit displayed by the championship runner-up, the brotherly Saudi team.

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council gave his directions for appropriate honoring  concerning the West Asian champions, and providing the necessary support and care to continue the achievements of the emerging team as the nucleus of a promising football team in various sporting events.

His Excellency praised the technical staff of the team, and the support provided by the concerned authorities to achieve this well-deserved victory, starting with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the leadership of the Yemeni Football Federation, and the local authority in Hadramaut Governorate, which hosted the training camp of the team.
