President Al- Alimi receives UAE’s Ambassador to Yemen

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, received today, Sunday, Mohamed Hamad Al Zaabi, UAE Ambassador to Yemen.

During the meeting, the Emirati ambassador conveyed to His Excellency the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan ,President of the United Arab Emirates, wishing him good health and for the Yemeni people security, prosperity, and peace.

On his part, President Al- Alimi  asked Ambassador Al-Zaabi, to convey his own and the Council members’ sincere greetings to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, wishing him good health and happiness and for the brotherly Emirati people further progress and prosperity.

The meeting touched upon the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and peoples, and  the promising prospects for strengthening such relations in various fields.

The meeting also discussed national and regional developments, including brothers’ and friends’ efforts to cease fire and end the suffering of the Yemeni people, in addition to launching a comprehensive political process in accordance with local, regional, and international terms of reference for peace, especially UN Security Council Resolution 2216.

President Al- Alimi praised the strong bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and UAE’ leading role role in the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen. His Excellency commended the UAE's developmental and humanitarian interventions aimed at alleviating the suffering of the Yemeni people and achieving their aspirations of restoring State institutions, stability, development, and peace.

The meeting was attended by Major General Saleh Al-Maqaleh, the Director of the Office of the President of the Presidential Leadership Council.
