President Al-Alimi heading to Riyadh for participation in Emergency summit

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, left the interim capital of Aden today, Thursday, heading to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for participate in the Arab emergency summit to be held on Saturday in Riyadh.

President Al- Alimi will deliver a speech representing Yemen at the Arab summit. In his speech the president will ‏reiterate Yemen's firm position supporting the Palestinian people and their legal right in defending themselves and establishing their own independent State.

In addition, His Excellency the President will hold on the sidelines of the summit, discussions with his brothers , the leaders of the participating countries and delegations on the developments of the Yemeni situation, and joint coordination to address the potential repercussions of the Israeli occupation's escalation on the region, and on international peace and security.

His Excellency was seen off at Aden International Airport, by Major General Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, Council member.
