President Al- Alimi receives UAE Ambassador in Aden

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, received today, Tuesday, at Maashiq Palace in the interim capital of Aden, H.E. Mohammed Hamad Al Zaabi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Yemen.

During the meeting, the Emirati ambassador conveyed the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Mohanmed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates  to President Al- Alimi , wishing him good health, and to the Yemeni people security, prosperity, stability, and peace.

 

On his part, the President of the Presidential Leadership Council asked Ambassador Al-Zaabi to convey his greetings and the Council members’ to  His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, wishing him good health and happiness, and to the brotherly Emirati people further progress and prosperity.

 

The meeting touched upon the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, peoples, and the promising prospects for strengthening such relations in various fields

The meeting also discussed latest developments in the Yemeni national scene and the Emirati support programs and projects in the fields of security, development, humanitarian, electricity and renewable energy including the emergency shipment of fuels of which first cargo set to arrive today in Aden seaport.

President Al-Alimi praised the distinguished relations between the two brotherly countries and the UAE's role within The Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen, deeply appreciating the Emirati significant humanitarian and development interventions to alleviate the Yemeni peoples' suffering, achieve its aspirations of restoring State’s  institutions, stability, development and peace. 

The meeting was attended by Dr. Yahya Al-Shuaibi, the Director of the Presidency Office.
