President comes back to the interim capital of Aden

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, came back today, Sunday, to the interim capital of Aden, after he participated the leadership of the local authority in Al-Mahara Governorate, and its people, the difficult days confronting the tropical cyclone “Tej”, which caused massive destruction to infrastructure, public and private property, as the worst natural disaster that the governorate has ever witnessed in its history.
Since his arrival in Al-Ghaydah shortly before the tropical storm, the President of the Presidential Leadership Council has led the state’s efforts to confront the effects of the tropical cyclone, coordinated emergency relief interventions with local initiatives, regional allies, and international partners. His Ecellency strengthened the capabilities of the eastern governorates to manage crises related to recurring climate changes.
His Excellency also inspected a number of areas affected by the tropical storm accompanied by heavy rains and torrential floods in the city of Al-Ghaydah and its suburbs.
He was assured of the conditions of the displaced citizens in temporary shelter centers, and was briefed on the progress of relief and rescue work, and the opening of alternative paths to the destroyed public roads.
The President of the Presidential Leadership Council also sent a presidential team to the Huswain district, which was most affected by the tropical cyclone, which isolated the region far from drinking water and basic services.
The President of the Presidential Leadership Council renewed his praise for the role of the local authorities in the governorates of Socotra, Al-Mahara and Hadramaut, in reducing the effects of the tropical cyclone and accelerating measures to restore public services, despite the difficult financing conditions that were exacerbated by the attacks of the Houthi militias supported by the Iranian regime on oil installations and export ports in the eastern governorates.
He also praised the urgent humanitarian response by our brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to relieve afflicted families, contribute to assessing the damage, and rehabilitating infrastructure and services.
The President of the Presidential Leadership Council praised the solidarity shown by the people of Hadhramaut Governorate, with the local authority and citizens in Al-Mahara Governorate. He also expressed his confidence in the participation of all active forces, institutions and economic groups in the honor of urgent contribution to controlling the repercussions of the tropical situation in all governorates affected by the hurricane.
His Excellency the President affirmed the state’s commitment to continue working to normalize service conditions in the governorates that were exposed to the disaster, and to keep the situation in Al-Mahara Governorate in particular under ongoing addressing, including directing the government to assign the concerned authorities to maintain roads, first and foremost the international strategic road between Yemen and neighboring countries.
His Excellency was bid farewell at Al-Ghaydah International Airport by Mohammed Ali Yasser, the Governor of Al-Mahra Governorate, Mukhtar bin Awaid, First Undersecretary, Assistant Undersecretaries, and a number of dignitaries and military and security leaders.
