President arrives in Al-Mahara Governorate to follow up on the repercussions of the hurricane

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, arrived today, Sunday, in Al-Mahara Governorate to follow up on the possible repercussions of Cyclone “Tej.”
His Excellency the President is scheduled to hold a meeting with the local authority and the security and military services in the governorate to review the preparations and measures that have been taken to limit the effects of the storm, confront potential damage, and protect lives and property.
The Early Warning Center had warned citizens in the Al-Mahra and Socotra Governorates and parts of the eastern districts of Hadhramaut Governorate to take the utmost caution before the tropical situation, the effects of which began today, Saturday, on Socotra Governorate and the accompanying heavy rains, and the intensification of wind speeds on coastal areas and Regional waters. The Center called for staying away from the depths of the valleys, avoiding vehicles passing through their streams and branches extending to the entrances of cities and villages, and being patient in traveling between regions and districts exposed to the direct and indirect effects of the hurricane.
