The Presidential Leadership Council held a meeting presided over by His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Council, and in the presence of Council members: Aidarus Al-Zubaidi, Tariq Saleh, Abdulrahman Al-Mahrami, Dr. Abdullah Al-Alimi, Othman Mujli, and Faraj Al-Bahsani and via video conference, Council member Sultan Al-Arada. 

At the opening of the meeting, the Presidential Leadership Council congratulated Yemeni people on the sixtieth anniversary of the glorious October 14th Revolution, which changed the course of history and set the country on the path towards  an independent national State.

President Al- Alimi briefed council members on the outcomes of his participation, along with council member Aidarus Al-Zubaidi, in the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly, in addition to the simultaneous discussions and meetings with regional and international actors.

The meeting reviewed several proposals and visions to enhance cohesiveness and effectively respond to the developments in the local situation, including the updates on the mediation efforts led by the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Sultanate of Oman to renew the truce and launch a comprehensive political process under the auspices of the United Nations.

The Presidential Leadership Council addressed the economic situation and the level of implementing coordinated reforms with the brothers and friends, in addition to the government measures taken to fulfill imperative  obligations, including paying the salaries of employees and funding key expenses to operate public services.

In this context, the council directed the government to redouble efforts to improve mechanisms for collecting public revenues, enhance financial operations governance, and to make optimal use of the grant provided by the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to alleviate humanitarian suffering, and enhance the efficiency of basic services, especially electricity and energy.

The council also discussed developments in the security and military situations, counter-terrorism efforts, and the escalation of Houthi militias, including their gross violations of human rights targeting the youth celebrating national holidays and displaced persons' camps, in addition to their cross-border terrorist attacks.

The Presidential Leadership Council expressed full solidarity with the Palestinian people and their right to self-determination and establishment of their own independent sovereign State with East Jerusalem as its capital, based on international legitimacy and Arab Peace Initiative resolutions.

The council reviewed the minutes of its previous meeting, the issues included on its agenda, and ‏corresponding decisions, measures, and recommendations were taken. The council will continue to hold sessions to complete discussion of the issues on the table.
