President Al- Alimi receives Saudi Foreign Minister

President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, president of the Presidential Leadership Council, received today at his residence in New York, along with Council member Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly meetings.

Prince Faisal bin Farhan conveyed to President Al-Alimi the greetings of the Saudi leadership and their wishes of welfare for him and stability, development and peace for the Yemeni people.

In turn, the President of the Presidential Leadership Council urged the Saudi Minister to convey his greetings to His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman, and his wishes of abundant health and wellness for them, and progress and prosperity for the Saudi people.

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council praised the Kingdom's honorable position alongside the Yemeni people at various stages and circumstances, leading to its commendable endeavors to bring peace and stability to the country. 

The meeting touched on the latest developments in the Yemeni situation, and regional and international efforts to renew the truce and reconstruction on it to launch a comprehensive political process in accordance with the terms of reference agreed upon nationally, regionally and internationally. 

The meeting was attended by Dr. Yahya Al-Shuaibi, Director of the Office of the Presidency of the Republic, Dr. Ahmed bin Mubarak, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Mr. Abdullah Al-Saadi, Yemen’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, and Mohammed Al-Hadhrami, Yemen's Ambassador to the United States.
