His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, affirmed the state’s commitment to developing Al-Dhalea Governorate and improving its service and living conditions. He also stressed support for the local authority leadership to fulfill its essential obligations across various sectors.

During his meeting today, Thursday, with Al-Dhalea Governor Ahmed Al-Qubba, the President stressed that the current priority for both the government and local authority leadership is to enhance basic services and expand development opportunities in a way that meets citizens’ aspirations and alleviates their living hardships.

The President was briefed by the governor on a report outlining the general situation in the governorate, ongoing efforts in service delivery and development, and the existing challenges in key sectors, including electricity, water, health, education, and infrastructure.

President Al-Alimi commended the efforts of the local authority leadership in normalizing conditions in the governorate over the past period. He praised their responsible handling of various challenges, including maintaining focus on deterring the Iran-backed Houthi militias.

He also praised the fraternal support provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Al-Dhalea and other governorates through development and service programs and projects. He noted that such support represents a genuine opportunity to advance local recovery, improve essential services, and ease prolonged humanitarian suffering.

The President emphasized the importance of local authorities effectively and transparently directing this support toward urgent priorities to ensure tangible and sustainable improvements in citizens’ lives.

He called on the people of Al-Dhalea, across all segments, to unite around development priorities, seize the opportunities offered by the strategic partnership with Saudi Arabia. He called on them to work responsibly to enhance stability and create an attractive environment for projects and investments, thereby contributing to a successful local model that reflects the governorate’s standing and the sacrifices of its people.

President Al-Alimi affirmed that the state is moving forward with practical and tangible solutions through a package of priority projects in Al-Dhalea. These solutions include road network development, water and sanitation projects, equipping the general hospital, and supporting higher, technical, and vocational education to create job opportunities for youth and improve services across all districts.

He highlighted that investment in general education and vocational and technical training constitutes a fundamental pillar of development. He added it is an effective means of empowering youth, integrating them into local and regional labor markets, and reinforcing security and stability.

The President also reiterated the state’s commitment to honoring the sacrifices of Al-Dhalea’s people, particularly the wounded and the families of martyrs, in a manner befitting their continued national sacrifices against the Imamate project.

He concluded by stressing that the state leadership views Al-Dhalea as a key component in the equation of stability, development, resilience, and model-building. He added that it is also central to the battle to restore state institutions and ensure their effective presence in moving beyond the past toward building a just future state.
