President Al-Alimi Praises Deep-Rooted Relations with Kuwait and Its Forces’ Deterrent Capabilities

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, received on Thursday Mr. Falah Al-Hajraf, the Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to Yemen, on the occasion of the conclusion of his tenure.

During the meeting, the Kuwaiti ambassador conveyed to His Excellency the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Amir of the State of Kuwait, and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.

He also conveyed their wishes of good health and happiness to the President and members of the Council, and of security, stability, and peace to the Yemeni people.

For his part, President Al-Alimi asked the ambassador to convey his greetings, and those of the Council members, to the Kuwaiti leadership, along with their wishes for continued progress and prosperity for the brotherly Kuwaiti people under its wise leadership.

The President praised Ambassador Al-Hajraf’s efforts and his role in strengthening bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, wishing him success in his future assignments.

He affirmed the depth of the distinguished fraternal ties between the Republic of Yemen and the State of Kuwait, as well as the shared commitment to further enhancing and developing them across various fields. He also commended Kuwait’s honorable stances in support of Yemen, its political leadership. He commended Kuwait’s generous humanitarian and development interventions that have helped alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people.

The meeting also addressed regional developments, particularly the military escalation in the region and what he described as blatant Iranian attacks on the sovereignty of several brotherly states, in flagrant violation of the United Nations Charter and the principles of international law. He noted their serious repercussions for regional and international peace and security.

President Al-Alimi reiterated the Republic of Yemen’s rejection of these attacks, affirming its full solidarity with Kuwait and other countries in the region, and its support for all measures taken to safeguard their security, sovereignty, and the safety of their citizens.

He also praised the defensive capabilities of the State of Kuwait and the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council, underscoring the importance of strengthening close coordination to confront shared regional challenges.

For his part, the Kuwaiti ambassador expressed his appreciation to the President, commending the level of bilateral relations. He reaffirmed his country’s commitment to continuing its support for Yemen and its people, as well as to enhancing joint cooperation in various fields.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Yahya Al-Shuaibi, the Director of the Office of the Presidency of the Republic.
