President Al-Alimi Briefed by Sheikh Sultan Al-Aradah on Developments in Marib

His Excellency Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, held a telephone call on Thursday with Sheikh Sultan Al-Aradah, Council Member and Governor of Marib Governorate, to review the latest developments in the governorate, including the circumstances surrounding the heinous assassination attempt targeting Adel Al-Rouhani, Head of the Technical Department of the Yemeni Congregation for Reform. The attack was carried out through an ambush that resulted in the martyrdom of a number of his escorts.

During the call, His Excellency was reassured by the Council member on the health condition of Adel Al-Rouhani, and listened to a preliminary report on the details of the criminal operation and the terrorist elements suspected of carrying it out.

The President directed the relevant authorities to expedite investigations into the cowardly terrorist crime, pursue and apprehend the perpetrators, and bring them to justice to receive their due punishment. He also ordered assistance to be provided to the families of the martyrs and support for those injured in the attack.

His Excellency expressed his sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the martyrs, praying that Almighty God grants them His vast mercy and eternal peace, and wishing the wounded a speedy recovery.

The President further stressed the need to intensify security precautions, including monitoring the movements of sleeper cells affiliated with the Houthi militias and terrorist groups collaborating with them. He also reaffirmed the need to ensure comprehensive deterrence against various threats while strengthening security and stability in the liberated governorates.
