President Al-Alimi Directs Urgent Aid for Families of Victims of Houthi Terrorist Attack in Hairan District

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, held a phone call on Monday with Mr. Abdulkarim Al-Senini, the Governor of Hajjah Governorate, to review the situation in the governorate and receive details on the heinous crime committed by the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militia.

The attack targeted a gathering of civilians in Hairan District while they were partaking in an Iftar meal during the holy month of Ramadan.

During the call, the President was briefed by the governor on a preliminary report regarding the attack, which resulted in the martyrdom of eight civilians, including children, and left dozens injured, some in critical condition who were transferred to hospitals and specialized medical centers.

President Al-Alimi directed the provision of urgent medical care to the wounded and the delivery of necessary assistance to the families of the victims. He stressed the importance of documenting this terrorist crime, which adds to the grave human rights violations committed by the Houthi militia and reflects its brutal conduct against civilians, as well as its disregard for moral, religious, and legal norms.

The President also expressed his deepest condolences and sincere sympathies to the families of the victims, praying that God grants them mercy and a place in His vast paradise, and wishing a swift recovery to the injured. He reaffirmed the state’s commitment to protecting its citizens, holding the perpetrators accountable, and ensuring they do not escape prompt punishment.
