President Al-Alimi: New Saudi Support Represents Additional Message of Commitment to Promising Strategic Partnership

His Excellency Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, renewed his sincere thanks and appreciation to the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, led by his brother, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and Crown Prince His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman, for the new economic support of SAR 1.3 billion to cover the salaries of state employees. He described this support as a continuation of the Kingdom’s honorable stance alongside the Yemeni people and their political leadership.

In a post on his account on the X platform, President Al-Alimi affirmed that this generous support represents an important message of confidence in the path to recovery and in the new government’s ability to strengthen national institutions, consolidate security and stability. It also reflects our commitment to working closely with the loyal Saudi team led by His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Salman Al Saud to achieve the desired transformation at all levels.

He added, “This fraternal stance also confirms that our partnership with the Kingdom is not a temporary arrangement, but a strategic choice for a brighter future.”

The President stressed the importance of rallying around this promising partnership, describing it as the true guarantee for rebuilding state institutions, improving citizens’ livelihoods, and fulfilling their legitimate aspirations.

Earlier today, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia announced the provision of SAR 1.3 billion to support the Yemeni budget and enhance stability and economic recovery in the country.

In a post on his account on X, Saudi Minister of Defense His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Salman Al Saud stated that, “in implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince, Prime Minister – may God protect them – the Kingdom provided economic support to cover the budget deficit allocated for salaries. The support was delivered through the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY), in response to the urgent need to assist the Yemeni government in paying employee salaries.”
