His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council met today, Saturday, with a number of local authority leaders and military, security, political, and social figures from Al-Dhalea Governorate. The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Dr. Shai’a Mohsen Al-Zandani.

At the outset of the meeting, the President welcomed the distinguished group of state figures, civilian and military leaders from Al-Dhalea, on whom the state places great reliance, as they have consistently demonstrated unity around the state-building project. He underscored their forward-looking approach grounded in partnership and national responsibility, stressing that the coming phase requires drawing lessons from the past and mobilizing all national capacities—civilian and military—within the framework of the state, its legitimate institutions, and the rule of law.

President Al-Alimi commended the courageous stances of the people of Al-Dhalea, their honorable national roles, and their profound sacrifices in defense of dignity and the republican system. He affirmed that the governorate will remain an advanced bulwark against the Imamate threat and an integral part of the phase of change, construction, and development.

In this context, the President highlighted the victories and enduring heroism recorded by the people of Al-Dhalea in confronting the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militias. He emphasized that Al-Dhalea will continue to rank among the state’s top priorities in services and development, including empowering its citizens to play an effective role in decision-making at both the local and central levels.

The President briefed attendees on local developments across various fronts, foremost among them the announcement of the formation of the new government and the naming of its members. He also reviewed efforts to normalize conditions and create an enabling environment for the stability of state institutions and the performance of their duties from within the country. He noted that the next phase represents a genuine opportunity to open new horizons for stability, improve basic services, complete the economic recovery program, build a model in the liberated governorates, and achieve decent living standards for citizens.

His Excellency further addressed the sovereign decisions taken in recent months, explaining that they were dictated by the imperatives of preserving security and stability, safeguarding public tranquility, and protecting the state’s legal standing and territorial integrity. He added that these decisions were also aimed at rescuing the gains of the Southern cause achieved during the past period.

President Al-Alimi renewed the state’s commitment to a fair resolution of the just Southern cause through inclusive South-South dialogue under the generous auspices of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He stressed comprehensive representation without exclusion or marginalization, away from the logic of force or coercion, or the instrumentalization of the cause in armed conflicts that undermine its justice and harm its future.

The President also renewed his deep appreciation for the positive response of the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the request to host and sponsor the Southern Dialogue Conference to discuss equitable visions for the Southern cause within the framework of a comprehensive political settlement in the country. He praised the fraternal role played by the Kingdom as a strategic partner in the paths of reconstruction and development at all levels.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Yahya Al-Shuaibi, Director of the Office of the Presidency of the Republic.
