President Al-Alimi Checks on Health of Brig. Gen. Hamdi Shukri

Today, Wednesday, His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, made a telephone call to Brigadier General Hamdi Shukri, Commander of the 2nd Giants Brigade, to check on his health following the terrorist bombing that targeted his convoy. The incident resulted in a number of martyrs and wounded.

During the call, His Excellency congratulated Brigadier General Shukri on surviving the treacherous criminal attack. He prayed to Almighty Allah to bestow His vast mercy and forgiveness upon the martyrs and to grant the wounded a speedy recovery.

President Al-Alimi commended Brigadier General Shukri’s steadfast national positions and his pioneering role in combating smuggling, terrorism, and organized crime. He reaffirmed the state’s unwavering support for the efforts of the armed forces and security services, and their pivotal role in preserving public tranquility, consolidating security, and ensuring stability in the interim capital, Aden, and the liberated governorates.

His Excellency stressed the importance to take all necessary measures to pursue those involved in the terrorist bombing, bring them to justice, and ensure they receive deterrent punishment. He further underscored the need to intensify security measures, including closely monitoring sleeper cells affiliated with the terrorist Houthi militia and their collaborating organizations.

The President affirmed moving forward with efforts to normalize conditions and unify security and military ranks and decision-making toward the objective of restoring state institutions, while deterring any blatant attempts to disrupt the situation or threaten civil peace.
