President Al-Alimi Receives Joint Forces Commander, Affirms Strategic Partnership with the Kingdom

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, today Monday, received Lieutenant General Fahd bin Hamad Al-Salman, the Commander of the Joint Forces of the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen, the Chairman of the Supreme Military Committee.

The meeting discussed mechanisms for joint coordination, bilateral military cooperation programs, and the promising strategic partnership. These efforts aim to strengthen the capabilities of the armed forces to deter threats to Yemen’s security and stability, and to enhance efforts to combat terrorism, smuggling, and organized crime.

President Al-Alimi highly commended the fraternal and honorable positions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Prime Minister, and His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Defense. He praised the Kingdom’s support for the Yemeni people and their aspirations to end the coup by the terrorist Houthi militias, restore state institutions, and achieve security and stability.

The President also praised the qualitative success achieved by the Joint Forces during the handover of military camps, and the accompanying tangible progress in securing the interim capital Aden and the rest of the liberated governorates.

President Al-Alimi expressed his deep appreciation for the Saudi humanitarian interventions that accompanied the camp handover process. He also praised the announced development projects and the financial support directed toward paying public sector salaries, noting their significant role as a driver of stability and development.

His Excellency underscored the importance of concerted efforts in the next phase to ensure the state’s monopoly over arms across the entire theater of operations, and to prevent the emergence of any military or security entity outside the framework of the state.

For his part, Lieutenant General Fahd Al-Salman, Commander of the Joint Forces, reaffirmed the Kingdom’s continued support for the Yemeni people and their political leadership, and for realizing Yemen’s aspirations for security, stability, peace, and development. He also extended his congratulations to President Al-Alimi on the recent gains and the decisions taken in support of the Yemeni people.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Yahya Al-Shuabi, Director of the Office of the Presidency of the Republic.
