President Al-Alimi Affirms the State’s Commitment to Strengthening Security and Stability in Hadhramout

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, held a telephone conversation today, Monday, with Mr. Salem Al-Khanbashi, the Governor of Hadhramout, Chairman of the Security Committee, to review the latest security and service developments and the efforts to contain the tensions witnessed in the governorate.
The President of the Leadership Council was briefed by Governor Al-Khanbashi on the ongoing efforts led by the local authority and the security committee, in cooperation with various local components, to normalize the situation, safeguard public tranquility, and protect social peace in the governorate.
The President reaffirmed the Leadership Council’s full support for the local authority in carrying out its constitutional duties, and in upholding the authority and sovereignty of the state while protecting citizens’ interests. He also emphasized the importance of thwarting attempts by the Houthi terrorist militias and allied groups to undermine the security and stability of Hadhramout.
His Excellency noted that Hadhramout has always been—and will remain—a driving force of the state and development, and a fundamental pillar of the national republican project. He called on all political forces, tribal leaders, and local components in the governorate to prioritize wisdom, unite ranks, and rally around the local authority and its national institutions.
The President reiterated the state’s commitment to enabling the people of Hadhramout to manage their resources and achieve their aspirations for development and fair representation in power and wealth. He stressed that the only path to realizing these aspirations lies in the unity of Hadramout’s people, the protection of public gains and interests, the strengthening of security and stability, and shielding the governorate from attempts at polarization or chaos.
President Al-Alimi affirmed that the Council and the government will work responsibly with the local authority to normalize conditions and support all sincere efforts to resolve internal disputes. His Excellency warned that any escalation on the ground would harm citizens’ interests and essential services, and open the door to risks that must be avoided by all means.
