President Al-Alimi Checks on Governor of Taiz and Commander of Tur Al-Bahah Axis

President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, made a phone call today, Monday, to Mr. Nabil Shamsan, the Governor of Taiz. The call aimed to check on his safety after the armed ambush that targeted his convoy along with the Commander of the Tur Al-Bahah Axis in Al-Maqatirah District. The attack resulted in the martyrdom of several escorts and the injury of others.

The President extended his sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the martyrs. He prayed for God’s mercy upon them and to grant the wounded a speedy recovery

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council directed the Minister of Defense, who also heads the Supreme Security Committee, to take the necessary measures to apprehend the perpetrators. He also ordered the formation of a committee from the security and military agencies to conduct a full investigation into the background and motives of the attack and to submit its findings urgently.
