President Al-Alimi Concludes Visit to Cairo After Attending Grand Egyptian Museum Inauguration

His Excellency Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, concluded today Friday, a visit to the Egyptian capital, Cairo. The visit came at the invitation of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to attend the inauguration of the Grand Egyptian Museum.

In a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), President Al-Alimi expressed his deep gratitude to President El-Sisi, the Government, and the people of the Arab Republic of Egypt for their warm reception, generous hospitality, and the impressive organization of the inauguration ceremony. He praised the high standards of the historic landmark and its significance as a symbol of Egypt’s architectural and cultural transformation in various fields.

The President also renewed his appreciation for the care extended to the Yemeni community by Egyptian institutions. He reaffirmed the commitment of the Presidential Leadership Council and the Government to strengthening bilateral cooperation in ways that serve the mutual interests of the two brotherly peoples at all levels.

President Al-Alimi commended Egypt’s pivotal role in supporting Arab causes and its tireless efforts to promote regional security and stability. He also highlighted Egypt’s leadership in supporting efforts to reach a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people.

At Cairo International Airport, President Al-Alimi was seen off by Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hanu, Egypt’s Minister of Culture, Mr. Khaled Mahfoudh Bahah, Yemen’s Ambassador to Cairo, Dr. Ali Mousa, Yemen’s Acting Permanent Representative to the Arab League, and several members of the Yemeni Embassy.
