President Al-Alimi Offers Condolences over Abyan Tragic Accident, Orders Care for Injured and Support for Victims’ Families

President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, held two phone calls today Wednesday, with Abyan Governor Major General Abu Bakr Hussein and Minister of Public Health and Population Dr. Qasem Buhaibeh. The calls aimed to review the latest developments regarding the tragic traffic accident that occurred on Al-Arqoub road in Abyan Governorate, which resulted in several deaths and injuries.

President Al-Alimi expressed his deep sorrow and condolences over the incident. He directed the government, local authorities, and relevant agencies to provide full care for the injured, assist the victims’ families, and facilitate the transfer of critical cases to specialized hospitals for treatment.

The President also instructed that regular maintenance of public roads be ensured, traffic safety measures strengthened, and efforts intensified to prevent the recurrence of such tragic accidents that claim innocent lives.

During the calls, the President was briefed by the governor and the minister on rescue operations, the condition of the injured, and the measures taken to address the aftermath of the accident. His Excellency emphasized the importance of coordination between central and local authorities to ensure a swift response and alleviate the suffering of affected families.
