President Al-Alimi Attends Opening of Grand Egyptian Museum Amid Global Gathering

His Excellency Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, attended today, Saturday, the official grand opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum. The ceremony was held in the presence of kings, princes, heads of state and government, and representatives of international organizations, celebrating one of the greatest monuments of human civilization in the 21st century.

President Al-Alimi praised this remarkable achievement, which blends the grandeur of ancient Egyptian history with the brilliance of modern architectural and cultural creativity. He described the museum as a magnificent landmark overlooking the eternal Pyramids of Giza, offering the world a civilizational narrative spanning thousands of years.

The President stated that the completion of this monumental project reflects Egypt’s strong will and the wise vision of its leadership under President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. He affirmed that Egypt has made culture a powerful force, a driver of development, and a lasting source of inspiration for nations.

President Al-Alimi emphasized that the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum is not only a national accomplishment for Egypt, but also an exceptional achievement for the Arab world and humanity at large. It carries a message of peace and cultural dialogue, strengthening the region’s role as a historic bridge between East and West.

He reaffirmed Yemen’s deep pride in its brotherly relations with the Arab Republic of Egypt, and appreciated Cairo’s steadfast support for the Yemeni people and their aspirations to restore state institutions, stability, and peace.

The ceremony was attended by Mr. Nasser Taha Mustafa, Presidential Adviser, Mr. Moammar Al-Eryani, Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism, Mr. Marwan Dammaj, Presidential Adviser for Cultural Affairs, and Mr. Khaled Mahfoudh Bahah, Yemen’s Ambassador to Egypt.
