President of the Leadership Council Highly Values New Saudi Economic Support

His Excellency Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, expressed, on his behalf, his fellow Council members, the government, and the Yemeni people, his profound gratitude and appreciation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

He praised the Kingdom under the leadership of his brother, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, for their generous directives to provide new additional support.

The support, amounting to 1,380,250,000 Saudi riyals, is directed to the State general budget and the reform program in the Republic of Yemen.

In a post on the “X” platform, His Excellency affirmed that “this new support, part of which is allocated to operating Prince Mohammed bin Salman Hospital, reflects the Kingdom’s fraternal approach and its strong commitment to the Yemeni people and their aspirations for stability, peace, and development.”

The President of the Leadership Council commended the efforts of the Government, the Central Bank of Yemen, the economic teams of the two brotherly countries, and the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen, which made this generous support possible to strengthen the state’s ability to meet its obligations and to give a strong boost to reforms and economic recovery.

Earlier on Saturday evening, the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to extend additional support to the brotherly Yemeni people in light of the difficult economic conditions facing the Republic of Yemen. His Majesty’s directives came based on the recommendation of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

The Ministry clarified in its statement that the new economic and developmental support, amounting to 1,380,250,000 Saudi riyals through the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen, comes in response to the appeal of His Excellency Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council. It also reaffirms the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s continued support to the Presidential Leadership Council and the Yemeni government.
