President Al-Alimi Affirms Cohesion of State Institutions, Commitment to Normalizing Conditions in Hadhramaut and Achieving Justice in Taiz

His Excellency Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, convened a meeting today Saturday with the Chairman of the Consultation and Reconciliation Commission, Mr. Mohammed Al-Ghaithi, and his deputies Mr. Abdulmalik Al-Mikhlafi, Mr. Sakhr Al-Wajih, Ms. Jameela Ali Rajaa, and Mr. Akram Al-Amiri.

The meeting reviewed developments on the local scene and the required efforts to advance government reforms, in coordination with the Central Bank and relevant institutions at all levels.

President Al-Alimi affirmed that comprehensive reforms and the provision of services to citizens remain an urgent necessity to strengthen state legitimacy and ensure the continued flow of economic, humanitarian, and development assistance. He stressed the important role of the Consultation and Reconciliation Commission in reinforcing the reform process and encouraging the government to implement them according to its approved reform matrix.

The discussions also addressed the Commission’s work program for the coming phase and the requirements to activate its role in supporting the Presidential Leadership Council, strengthening national consensus, unifying ranks, and fostering the desired partnership at all levels.

The President reiterated the Commission’s role in backing the Council, consolidating values of partnership and collective responsibility, and supporting existing agreements under the transfer of power declaration and the references of the transitional period.

His Excellency underscored the need for a unified discourse that enhances national cohesion and directs it toward the larger battle to end the coup backed by the Iranian regime and to restore state institutions.

President Al-Alimi commended the role of the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, and their constant keenness on the unity of the Presidential Leadership Council and the cohesion of the national front, in addition to their vital economic, development, and humanitarian interventions which have served as a safety valve in these exceptional circumstances.

The President also briefed the Commission’s leadership on efforts to normalize conditions in Hadhramaut Governorate and meet the legitimate demands of its people for development and fair representation. He further addressed the assassination of the Director General of the Cleaning and Improvement Fund in Taiz Governorate, the late Iftiham Al-Mashhari, stressing that her blood will not go in vain, and that security agencies are obliged to swiftly apprehend the perpetrators and bring them to justice.

He emphasized the importance of turning this crime into a point of national consensus to reject chaos, violence, and terrorism, and to ensure accountability and prevent impunity in line with the results of the investigations.

For their part, the Chairman and members of the Commission reaffirmed their full support for the Presidential Leadership Council and the government, stressing the importance of pressing ahead with the comprehensive reform program, anti-corruption efforts, and continued consultations with all political forces on the basis of broad national partnership.
