Presidential Leadership Council Statement

The Presidential Leadership Council convened today, Thursday, September 18, 2025. During the meeting, the President and members of the Council reaffirmed their unity and cohesion, as well as their commitment to upholding the principles of partnership and collective leadership, in accordance with Resolution No. (9) of 2022 on the transfer of power, the establishment of the Presidential Leadership Council, the rules governing the work of the Council, the Consultation and Reconciliation Commission, and the legal and economic teams, issued under Resolution No. (119) of 2025.
The Council emphasized its adherence to the principle of collective responsibility and consensus between the President and members of the Council.
The Council resolved the following:
First: The Legal Support Team of the Presidential Leadership Council shall:
1. Review all resolutions issued by the Council since 2022 up to the date of this statement that are inconsistent with Resolution No. (9) mentioned above, within a period of 90 days, and submit its findings and recommendations to the Council for urgent action.
2. Immediately begin reviewing the appointments issued by Council Member, Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, in September 2025, and submit its findings and recommendations to the Council for urgent action.
Second: The Legal Support Team may seek the assistance of the Military and Security Committee in its review of resolutions related to military and security affairs.
